iTunes University

Students today are constantly connected, between laptops, cell phones, and iPods they have constant access to everything they are interested in. Which is why iTunes has developed a way for teachers and faculty to distribute digital lectures and lessons to their students through their iPhones or iPods, so students no longer have to come to class so frequently. You can access iTunes by using your cell phone or Wi-Fi networks to watch or listen to your teacher's lectures. Teachers are discovering "Mobile Learning Networks" where they can teach a class over the phone or on their student's iPods. Teachers can customize their curriculum and deliver it straight to their student’s iPhones or iPods.
The next question is of course.... Can Professors require students to have an iPod or an iPhone? They are kind of expensive, but I am all for it. I would love to be able to listen to lectures on my own time, there are only so many online classes offered. Audio and video podcasts allow students to go to class at their own pace, when and where they want. Teachers are using iLife and iWork to create these digital lessons on their Macs where you can create customized educational materials.

  1. "Can Professors require students to have an iPod or an iPhone? They are kind of expensive, but I am all for it." I am glad to know that since I make the iPod Touch a requirement next semester.
